So I bought a TOS eliminator from KMS, plugged it in and hoped for the best. I started it up and still the same, dying after three seconds. I put it in dealer mode and still the same 2-3 code. Tried unhooking the battery and resetting it and everything. Any input and help will be appreciated, thanks in advanced!!

So should there be any resistance between the two? if so, how much? I should have a chance to look at it tonight. Im also considering the possibility that the CDI may be shot and sending false codes, is that possible?

The resistance should be infinite. Yes it is possible that you have a damaged ECM. Disconnect the ECM and recheck for resistance. Also check for continuity to ground with each wire. And test continuity of each wire from TOS plug to ECM plug (see manual for connector pinout for ECM.)

When you say that the resistance should be infinite do you mean like it should be OL on my tester?
yes

Also is there any sure fire way to check the CDI box? I found one for a good price and would like to know asap if I would need one.
You can install a known good one (out of a running LTR) but you have to make sure your wiring is good before plugging it in or you could fry that one too.

Ok so I was out of town for a few days and I'm just not getting back to the ltr.. I reread the forum and what you said to do,and in doing so I saw I checked the wrong two wires. There is no continuity between the red and br/white wires. It's stumped me again... Scrowling through the manual to see if I can find anything at all..
