Well I hooked the LM-1 Oxygen sensor up before it got dark and made a few runs. This thing is definitely running RICH. It averaged 12.28:1 (definitely rich) I made 2 runs in 4th gear at WOT, 2 runs in 5th gear at WOT, and 2 runs going through the gears at WOT. I didn't have time to hook up the RPM lead so I'll have to do that sometime this weekend and that will show me where I need to make adjustments. :D

Here's the graph which only shows the screen capture I did of the 1st minute (roughly). I'm trying to find a program that will let me capture my screen video as it plays.

Here's a couple of pics of the bung for the oxygen sensor:

I'm going to re-calibrate the oxygen sensor just to make sure it's right but I'm pretty sure it's spot on.

Here's a video of the Logworks software during the run:

Once you start the video you can click on it to enlarge it. Man, the quality definitely degrades when you upload it. I had it set on high quality too. If anyone knows any secrets to getting better quality let me know. The video is actually a screen capture of my computer as it was running so it was EXCELLENT quality until I uploaded it.

PS keep an eye on the top left gauge for the AFR. The other gauges aren't even hooked up to anything.

Al, so you haven't made any adjustments or altered anything before you ran the bike? I'm just wondering if you have a base line or your creating one based on the tool? Also what setup do you have (exhaust, controller and such?) And how does the bike feel even though you thinkit's running rich?
Sorry..inquiring minds want to know and all... :D

Once I hook up the RPM sensor I'll get my true base and I'll post my findings. I'm shooting for a 13.1 to 13.3 AFR. My setup is full Yoshi exhaust, Lid off airbox, stock filter, PIM installed with MAP 2. I'm tuning for this just for practice and also to get a final MAP that gets me to the AFR I want. Once I tune it for this setup I'll post all the findings. Then I plan on adding the Trinity intake and later on getting rid of the airbox. I may wait until the warranty is up to get rid of the airbox.

Thats what I was wondering. I talked to Dan @ DASA today and he was telling me that the setup you have is a great set up but if I was to invest in it, then I would want to get a baseline to go off of. Kinda weird that the Yosh setup was rich? or no?

Tell me about it. I would have expected more from Yoshi. I knew it was running rich at 1/4 throttle but I didn't realize it was running rich throughout the RPMs.

So I'm thinking....... that my set up of Yoshi full, no airbox, K&N and PIM is fairly close. Definately runs and sounds good to Clone's ears. Wish I knew for sure

Damn, wish I had a dyno close, or the LM1 and the FIMAK to tune AND one million dollars. :D

Thanks Al! Keep us posted!

The more people that start tuning these things the more MAPS that will get posted with various mods. We all win when that happens! :D

Running rich......not supprised at all.

As far as I know, running slightly rich is "safe"; it better handles lower octane fuels and lowers running temp at the expence of performance.

The fact that your fuel trace is quite flat (except for the spike) says to me that Yosh did a very good job with the base map; it's not all over the place and should be easy to adjust from there. I see tons of potential in this motor and look forward to hearing more of your results as I believe you are going about it the right way.

Do you have the FIMAK?

I think I just solved my software problem I had to go in and create a customized table for the RPMs. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll make another run and I may be able to show AFR at at each RPM. (Fingers Crossed). Not going to try and hook up the TPS yet though. That'll come after I get the WOT runs done.
