I recieved a PM on how i cut mine, and to make this easy ill just slap my reply in here for others too:
I used a several dremel cutting discs (they are flimsy and break if you get them on the wrong angle; which i did)
then i used a fine metal file (normally used for machining) to clean up the area where the plastic got to hot and melted
then i block sanded with 200grit and moved to 600 grit when it was semi-smooth
i was actually super-surprised on how easy and quick it was and how well it turned out.
