Round 5 of the GMAC Guam Moto-X Championships went well and was held on the island of Guam at the Calvo Memorial Off-Road Park in the village or town of Yigo-geegoe. Took the two moto sweep and added a little more cushion to the points lead. Heres a pic...........

Rules are little tame on the island and was able to run the LTR with out nerfs, no rear number plate or and number. The night before installed a KX 60 kill switch as the start button, teather kill switch-mandatory, removed baffle or pea shooter and air box cover. Also installed a Motion Pro twist throttle, renthal bars, and cherry bomb. It ran flawless only tightened up the front springs a bit between heats which helped for reasons I don't understand keeping her even over the rutted jumps.

I read all the info on how to wire it all up here on the forum LTR450HQ.
The two wires coming from the KX 60 kill switch were wired one into the black wire and the other into the grey wire located just past the plug for the original stock start/light setup between the front shocks. Very simple to figure out. To make sure I had the correct wires I tested it by touching the black to the grey to see if the engine would turn over-it did so I knew I had the right wires.

The teather kill switch has two wires coming out from it also I grounded one and the other I connected to the white wire located on the right side just above where the kick starter would be, if there was one, and right below the back right side of the fuel tank this is the coil wire. I had all the plastics removed but it really didn't need to be it could have been done with them still on with maybe just the head light removed.

Twist throttle was installed with the fuel tank removed and was very simple and straight forward to install. The only pain was finding a philips head short enough to remove the one screw on the cable housing. It is located in close to the frame and if you don't want to have to take or loosen anything else to either rotate or remove to be able to get a better line on the screw then just use a philips tip insert and a wrench together to remove it. This worked fine for me in both removing the screw and tightening it back up.

Thanks to LTR450HQ and all the forum members for your great posts and your invaluable sharing of info.

Thanks-they were picked for me by the sponser, Cycles Plus Guam, but they are starting to grow on me.
The gear is great besides the tangerine color that does stand out and compliment the look of the quad the fit and comfort is also great. The brand is No Fear.

The GMAC will be hosting on Guam a non points race this coming Sunday(Mothers Day) down in the southern village/town of Molojloj-Moe loe-loe. The race will part of that villages annual fiesta festivities, BIG PARTY-Huge Crowds-free food & drink. The event has a long name "The Molojloj San Isidro Fiesta Motocross" with the course-manmade tt course with a few huge tables, being located next to the Catholic Church. Anyways I hope to get a few pics from the event and then post them here on the forum.

Just returned from the village of Molojloj where once again they put on a great fiesta in honor of that villages saint-San Isidro. The LTR did great and swept both motos easily. The class itself was weak with only 8 riders on the line-2 KFX 400's, 1 LTZ 400, 2 YFZ 450's, 1 Raptor, 1 LRD Banshee, and 1 LTR 450- probably because it was Mothers Day and also it was only a trophee race not a points race. The course itself was small, tight, with loamy dirt that bermed up pretty fast during the 10 lap heats. Anyways here is a photo of the LTR during the race.

Nice shots - I wouldnt ground out the coil wire to stop it if I were you - electronic systems are not too keen on coil wiring shorts !
Find the stator white wire instead ?

Couple more pic's

Made my own quick rear number plate. How you like the course marker to mark the turn?-Coconut trees!!!-LOL. Fiesta racing is all about having a laid back time and having fun with racing for the entire family.

My son #6 leads the 50cc stock class on an old lt-50. He's the smallest guy out there but he did great!

My son is the little guy in the center posing with his first place trophy.

Free food and drink-Fiesta tables with all kinds of barbequed food were set up all over the village it seemed as if every house had a party going on. This food table was set up right in the pits for the riders.

Being it was Mothers Day there was a special run what you brung Mom's only race. GMAC first lady Ann Morrison took the win on a Kawasaki Brute Force 700.

You know your club is going to have plenty to eat and drink when this guy is the President of your club. GMAC President Gene Morrison.
The next race will be round 6 of the Guam Motocross Championships to be held on Sunday May 28th I hope to once again have a few photos to post.
