I am looking at the LRD and the DASA pipes. I am looking for great performance but also want a quieter pipe if possible. I have read that the LRD pipe is only 92.5 db with the spark arrester in and 96 with it out. Is this comparable to the stock pipe or does it sound much louder? I also looked through the forum and found some dyno charts and there it is stated that the DASA is 100db. Does anyone know if this is with the spark arrester in or out? I guess my main question is witch pipe performance the best and yet keep the noise level down as much as possible? I do a lot of mountain riding and a quite pipe would be great. Also are there any other pipes I should look at?

The LRD is comparable to the stock exhaust with the quiet core, but much quieter with their cores out. I believe the stocker was 100 with it's "peashooter" removed.....I gotta say, the LRD is a real nice pipe. Check it's dyno at LRDPERFORMANCE.COM.....pretty sweet #'s for perhaps the quietest aftermarket exhaust out there. And....it's available now!

the thing that really ERKS me is all the laws about any kind of exhaust that is loud and gettin tickets n what not, then watch a harley fire its potato gun down the road  and most likey do that biker wave thing to the cops while they have you pulled over cause you got a coffee can on the tip of your exhaust that you can't even hear at redline over a harley's idle
