On saturday and monday at two differnet tracks, my ltr loses its power in the air ONLY. When im on the ground its fine. I could be on a straight away in 3rd gear wide open and its fine. Going through little double or a 90 foot table top it bogs out. Then when i land it takes like 2 seconds to get all of it power back.

It is probably your fuel filter. DO NOT remove the oem filter. Just because it clogged doesnt mean you need to replace it, thats its job. Just install a new filter an be on your way.

We had billet swirl tank covers made for the LTR. Most of the trash was coming from the metal swirl tank cover. After time the lower cover will start to rust and flake off in the filter.

Mike why do you say not remove the oem filter? Ive taken it off two bikes now and installed the spectre setup with no ill effects yet to date. Are you saying not to run any filter? Just wanna clarify, if you know something I dont know.

I have no doubt to the original poster that your fuel filter is the problem though. Happened to me twice. So I switched to the spectre filter and hasnt come back.

You should run a filter.

The point is, the oem filter system works perfectly. The fact that it clogs up is a good thing and the point that you haven't had one of these aftermarket products that you are purchasing that are NOT clogging up, are simply letting all of the small particles right on through.

Not to mention, there should be a specific flow rate from the swirl tank to the fuel pump.

Maintenance people maintenance !!!! lol
