Mike why do you say not remove the oem filter? Ive taken it off two bikes now and installed the spectre setup with no ill effects yet to date. Are you saying not to run any filter? Just wanna clarify, if you know something I don't know.
I have no doubt to the original poster that your fuel filter is the problem though. Happened to me twice. So I switched to the spectre filter and hasn't come back.[/b]
You
should run a filter.
The point is, the oem filter system works perfectly. The fact that it clogs up is a
good thing and the point that you haven't had one of these aftermarket products that you are purchasing that are NOT clogging up, are simply letting all of the small particles right on through.
Not to mention, there should be a specific flow rate from the swirl tank to the fuel pump.
Maintenance people maintenance !!!! lol
