was just wondering what that 3 or 4 inch long floppy rubber tube with endcap is ,that flops around the back of the fan , its got folds in it maybe it gets compressed by vacuum or something
can anyone shed some light on this

Dakar, I believe that is a breather and it's there so sand or dirt won't get into some orifice at the bottom. Least I'm pretty sure thats what it is...

I thought it was a sensor that reads how hot the air is around the radiator, then if it gets to hot the fan kicks on. (I'm not sure about what i said).
