I called Yoshimura and VP today and they said over time it will plug the injector Yoshi said to run MR9 straight and VP told me to run MS100 or MS103 straight.

I would use regular 93 octane cause it is alot cheaper and it is really good. Especially the reformulated kind, looks crystal clear and sometimes has a race gas smell.

I dont want to sound stupid but I'm not familiar with those fuels that were mentioned. I have always bought mine from a local oil company that blends their own race fuels. I was running a 110 octane leaded in my old Z400 but I have yet to run anything other than sunoco gt 100 unleaded in fear of the lead. where can I find info on the other fuels?

I dont know if MR9 is leaded I dont for sure whose fuel that is, I get the VP at a big supplier in Phoenix because all the bike shops only sell leaded.

Ok I looked at the VP website and yes MR9 is leaded which is funny because the yoshi rep said dont run leaded fuel but recommended MR9 also MR9 is 87 octane I think I will just stick with the highest grade of pump gas.

Leaded fuels don't give the same power increases like they use to on two strokes...it's really not worth the risk in jamming those injectors, IMO. If you really want to run race gas, ms103 would be your best bet.

Theres a few disadvatages to mr9 its highly oxygenated which is great for race purposes only but to the average joe its sucks because you cant leave it in your tank for a long time beacause it loses oxygen thats why its such a low octane because it burns so much cleaner with the extra oxygen in the fuel, and it will make your engine run on the lean side also . and at $15+ a gallon i would stick with the most reputable gas stations highest octane of fuel, but I just love the smell of race gas lol !
