I am going to buy a set of Paddles and also 20s rear plus 21s front with ITP Baja rims for the dessert.
I'm on a budget and Kendas are the most inexpensive of all the brands.

Anyone have an opinion on this brand?

Best front motocross tires ever produced, IMO. Don't have any experience with paddles, but they produce a hell of an MX tire.

I agree.^^^^Don't have any experience with their sand tires, but the mx tires are top notch.

thx for the input, you guys really helped me make my decision. Even if I don't like the paddle, they are the cheapest of all tires so I can always get different ones later.

Hang around until some of the dune rats pipe in, they could give you a much better indication on how their paddles work :)

I'm interested on what people think are better for the nasty terrain. Kenda's or holeshots???

well if those are your two choices i wouldnt even pick the holeshots unless u get like HD's or the new GNC tires but if u just wanna use race holeshots i would buy the kendas

I'm planning on getting Kenda Knarly which are 6ply for the rear
and the Kenda Klaw XC for the front which is only 4ply.

I'm not sure if Kenda makes a 6ply front, but do you guys think 4ply
is good enough for the front?

I plan on riding in the desert with rocks more than wooded areas.

4 ply will work fine in the desert. However just bring a "breakdown kit" with you. Always carry fix-a-flat in there. Even if you run 6 ply you run the chance of blowning out in the desert. Only sure way to ensure no flats are tire balls.

If you want a good puncture resistant front tire I'd go with a Razr2. I had them on my banshee and they were damn near bullet-proof

my experiences with the kenda klaw mx front tires has been great...really good tire and holds up for a while

the rears however, sucked, they gripped way too much and i couldnt slide at ALL. Made my cornering a lot worse than when I used holeshots.

I wanted Hypertech carbonfiber wheels and Maxxis IRazr tires, but could only afford ITP Baja and Kenda tires. Whataya think? Gonna go desert riding this weekend and try em out for the first time.
