Anthony underwent surgery last night, at UPMC, in Pittsburgh. They fused a certian number of the broken vertibrae together, among the usual rods and screws to hold his spinal cord in place The good news if there is any, is that the casing surrounding his spinal cord wasnt ruptured or damaged, which leaves a good chance that he may walk again. There is no doubt he has a long road to recovery and will most likely have to learn how to talk all over again.

Please keep him in your prayers.

yep~! I didn't know it was broken for a couple of weeks. The docs told me the pain was from my collar bone which was also broken. When the pain didn't stop I went back. Shattered left tibula plateau right now. Consider me retired,,,,,again :( !

Thats is good news. Hopefully he has what they call "Spinal Syndrome" Basically its swelling of the spinal cord from trauma. It pushes on all the surrounding tissue/vertebrae/etc and has the same signs/symptoms of a spinal cord injury. lets hope thats what it is and steroids will shrink the tissues and he will have his feeling/movement back soon...but never the less thats a bad break!!
Hang in there Anthony!
Thoughts and prayers are out to you in Kansas City Missouri!!
