I just bought an LTR450 today, I was riding my cousins ltz400, it was the first time I ever road, I called up and got approved for a r450 and its on its way. Should be here in about 6 hours.

Can anyone explain any major differences between how the two ride, Im a bigger guy so I figured id get the bigger quad, I hope that wasnt a dumb way to go, but im sure ill be happy with it.

Oh btw, its a white one, from reading these forums white seems to be the way to go lol, (i ordered it before I started reading this forums though).

They tried pushing a yellow one on me, I thought something was wrong with it so I told em white.

you made a great choice... I can't tell you the difference between the 400 and the 450... but do a little search on the cherry bomb mod... then do the baffle and air box lid... makes a world of difference in the bike... but you should have gotten the yellow one... its the real quadracer...lol... sorry if there is any bad grammer... I typed this on my phone... oh and welcome to the site... I'm pretty new here too...

Well his 400 was quick enough for me, so im sure the 450 will be quick enough stock for now, im still a pretty new rider.

Altho Im trying to figure out what rims/tires people have, I like how the blue rims look on the white QOTM

well if you are a new rider I wouldn't worry about new tires... the stock setup is pretty good... you just do it the cheap way and powder coat the stockers blue... you will want to do the cherry bomb, baffle, and air box lid... although u should buy the sites versioun of the cherry bomb... same exact thing... just help support the site... the 450 is only ok in my opinion in stock form... you will see what I'm talkin about... but yeah the stock tires are pretty good depending on what riding you are doing but all around they are good... and the stock wheels are good too...

Yes the stock rims and tires are made tuff. At first ride it around with the baffle in and see how restricted it is, then just take out the baffle and ride it around. It sounds better than the other 450's uncorked and adds power. I would say get the LTR450HQ version of the cherry bomb, I don't have one but it looks like almost everyone on here has one. Also down the road when you're in the market for a pipe, check out Fuel's pipe shootout.

I have a cherry bomb I will sell you for 20 bucks. You just pay shipping. Just e-mail me at [email protected]. Trust me it will make a huge difference over stock. Get ready to hold on when you get that 450 it really rips! Congrat by the way and welcome to the site.

Be careful, so far about 207 people have lost their left leg due to the battery exploding and taking off their foot and leg in the process. Suzuki is secretly paying these people for new prosthetic legs and a few extra bucks for their inconvenience. So watch out for a hot battery.

Welcome to the site man, I would suggest removing the Baffle, and the airbox lid slap on a cherry bomb and get a K&N filter!

The ltr was my first quad too and after riding the yamis and hondas, i wouldnt trade it for anything. The whine is scary at first, but it hasnt hurt anyones quads yet. I changed my oil a couple of times and havent heard it since. Deffinately look into the cherry bomb mod, its a kick in the pants.

hey everyone thanks for the warm welcome first off =)

Im lovin my ltr, yeah the whine is freaking me out, I got took a little on the final price, but im lovin the quad, i changed the oil/crankcase fluid and added a little lucas, the whine is coming and going, im sure after my next oil change (before I ride again) itll hopefully eliminate the whine.

Im a very novice rider, and all you people doing the cherry bomb I salute you, the ltr pulls hard enough for me bone stock, im white knuckling my whole ride, but im loving every minute of it, pix of me riding later (just got done riding, just got out of the shower)
