O.K. ...... i need a set of taller tires. I already have a set of stock LTR wheels. So i was thinking about going with the ITP xcr tires. 20x11x8 rear and 22x7x10 front. Anyone run these before. They will not be used alot. When i do use them it will be desert type terrain, sand, rock, hard pack. Any tire experts? I really like the look of those tires.

have used itp holeshot xc and xct , they are real good and durable when mounted on rims correctly , had a few buddies who mounted them wrongly(overinflated on installation ) and they were always leaking air real slowly from the bead, but yeah they are real good , a lot stiffer than stock tires and you feel it ,much less sidewall flex as well

I have the 20in rear and 22in front GNCC holeshots, they are awesome. Better than the XC and XCR IMO.
13t front sprocket it a must for woods.

have you had any puncture problems? i bought mine at the gncc in tennessee and had a hole in the tread which i plugged and two holes in the sidewalls already. i run 5 lbs in my rears so they shouldnt be under inflated. they hook excellent just cant keep air in them. maybe i just got them out of a bad batch, i got them just after their release. unless i hear more great reviews i'll probably go back to hd's

U probably could use more air in your tires, i had some itp mx tires ( not being used like yours) but i used about 5 1/2 lbs in all four tires but then i noticed them always leaking and even bending the rims off some jumps, then i heard for mx u put alot more air in your tires (7,8 9 lbs even). Well GNCC tires might be stiffer but for hard rocky, stumpy trails u 'll need more air.

They are a stiff 6 ply sidewall with a radial carcuss. 6 pounds of air in my ITP GNCC tires is plenty. I have friends that run 4 pounds.

Okay, I have run the XCR's in Worcs and XCT's in BITD and I would recommend the XCR's if your trailriding and racing in some desert terrain. If you are looking to run the Baja or BITD series more flat out straight line running then go with a the XCT as it is a taller and more puncture resistant tire. Looking at the pics of your bike I don't think your going to race this bike agressively as it looks like your focus is mostly sand. So I would say a good all around tire for desert is the XCR. I know this post is older and you may have purchased tires already, but they are both very good choices. Also the HD's are super for being bullet proof but are very heavy in weight so not a choice for off the line performance, but if I hit a rock this would be the tire to hold up the best.

Im no expert FUEL but the xcr is what I used at Glamis with you guys and I have ran them all over the desert. They are a great tire for rocks ect... I do NOT like the holeshot H-D though, my buddy has them on his DS-650 - way to heavy(noticeable difference even in power performance)

The XCR will be sure to stay on my "money pit list"... ;)

I ran 20-11-8 kenda klaws on the back. They work pretty good in the sand because you can reverse them for soft or hard. I aint had a chance to test them on hard ground though. I really wanted the gncc but couldn't fork out the cash for rims and tires.
