Unfortunately they did not include a tool. You can just use a screwdriver to tap the top ring loose and then turn it with the screwdriver after that. I use the tool that came with my LTZ on mine though. I loosened mine up to where only 2 or 3 threads are showing. They come way too stiff.

how about channellocks? and should those two rings dissconnect from one another? and yes, they are waaay to stiff. im weighin in at like 145-155, and bouncing on it, and they barely freakin move

Channel locks? LOL not a good idea bro. Fronts shouldnt be too bad. Its all about the angle on those. If too stiff, get dad to actually spin the spings while you "tap" on the tension screws. Now the rear......g'luck. I still cant get that sucker off. Tried with 3 of us. its on there.

For the front shocks try turning the adjuster, should have on the reservior H-S and move both all the way soft and see how u like it. Try reading the manual and adjust the compression, rebound, preloadand even use a hammer/screw driver to adjust the spring stiffness.

They will separate. They work the same as if they were 2 nuts. Just tap the top one loose first just like you were screwing off the lid to a jar and spin it all the way up and then tap the bottom one around until you get it where you want it. Mine were way too stiff and I weigh 220lbs.

i figured channel locks would work, they worked on stock shocks on my 300. haha. i'll have to mess with compression later. and rebound. Ive never dealt with fully adjustable front shocks like this, so it should be an adventure.

Honestly I'm not sure right now. I'll check this weekend and let you know. I really haven't adjusted them very much from stock though.

how long should it take for this thing to get hot and need the fan to come on? i was riding it around for like 5-10 minutes. (not hard) and i could feel it hot by my leg. and when i shut it off the fan came on. but only for like 45 seconds. i guess i may be used to my 300 and it not getting as hot because the motor is not near as big. but i was just wandering

Hmmm, I got mine all by myself. All you have to do is hit the top ring with a screwdriver or something of the sort with a hammer. Then you can turn the top one with your hand to where you want the bottom one to be. Then you just hit the bottom one for like 15 min. with the screwdriver and hammer and it will move to where you want it eventually. Careful though, I dropped pretty much all the preload off the rear and it was worse then before, it just sagged into the stiffer portion riight away. I ended up taking about 1/2 -3/4 of the preload off.
