I just got my Gen-X hood in the mail...no instructions or anything came with it.. How did you install your Gen-X hood?? Sorry if this is a sort of stupid question but I want to make sure I do it the right way! I have never had a hood on my quad before

It didnt come with any bolts or predrilled holes? If all else fails Ducktape it :p

it came with the bolts and stuff and on the underside it says to use 5/16 drill bits... so does the hood go over the existing plastic or do u have to cut the plastic and then the hood goes where the plastic was??? stupid question I know but the only installation section they have on their site is for the TRX

Its ok.....but I am not a big fan of the Gen-X hoods though. I don't think it has as much protection to the electronics and wiring as the QuadTech Beak. Then again I have never seen them in person either.

no offense to the beak owners but I cant STAND how the beak looks....I like how the hood looks a lot better than the beak...the hood also goes down fairly far and seems like it will provide adequate protection

I like how the Gen X hoods look but I don't like how they look on the LTR... that make sense? I think it looks to much like it was just thrown on top of it rather than flow with the bike's lines. I think the beak flows better.
