Nonsense, just get a high-quality kit and don't jack the compression way up. :banadance:

For me?...I'm going to stay away from the bigger displacement and higher compression until I milk every little bit I can out of the cams and porting...and even then I might just pass...been there...done that...got the T-Shirt... :(

If you have two engines of similiar setup except for the displacement the larger engine will prevail. I realize this doesn't matter if your car or quad is significantly lighter or has better suspension/traction. My car has a smallblock and can kill big blocks, but if I had a larger engine, with proper traction it would destroy them.

How is there heads ported, cam size, compression. All this will determine output I'm just saying if these are close the larger engine will make more power. Turbos, superchargers, nitrous, more compression, better porting, larger cams, better heads, intake, exhausts. Believe me I have enough experience to know that displacement is not the final answer, I just liked the catchy slogan and it does indeed hold truth in the proper setting. Alright i'm done with my book.

And for your information, I like my 450cc. I'm with junkie on stretching the ltr to it's limit, dohc and great fuel system=horsepower

I realize forced induction is different, I was just showing things that make a smaller motor have more power. You want to see power look at a diesel, then we'll talk power.

"ratlers" are even better because u can boost higher w/o extensive modifications....cheap hp :D

i wasnt trying to dog your idea...that 4 cycliner is a 4.5 L...larger displacement...so in a way ur right

I know you weren't. That is a pretty crazy little 4 cylinder.
