compinies tend to exagerate alot ! .... so he needed a new sprocket and on the site it said if you go with a -1 tooth u gain 5mph is this true ... i think maybe 1 or 2 but not 5 i could see with bigger tires and all but not with just changing sprockets

its for a dirt bike btw

You will lose over all speed if you go down a tooth in the front. Go down in the back and you will gain over all speed.

I Won't gain 5 mph for one tooth. MY brother changes back from 51-49 on his 450f and it doesn't add that much. Now i'm sure if u go up a tooth in the front and go done a couple in the back then it would change.

in the rear about 3mph or so, but if you were to go 1 tooth smaller in front then its about 5mph
