i hate this kinda choke i have always had the simple lever on the carb

first i think you push all the way up to engage the choke or that is what i do
but if i pull it way down where it gets stiff the idle goes up way up im just confused
i dont wanna have the choke on but i dont wanna pull down to far, i guess my question is
what does it do when i pull it way down and it gets stiff and the idle goes up? and where should it be
when it is warmed up?

Unless you live in Alaska, I can't see that you really need it. Just leave it up, especially if it's confusing to you

I dont know if this is all a wind up or not but UP is off and DOWN is fully on and it is only a fast idle lever for really cold areas - NOT a choke at all !
