How much have you paid for them? Has anyone had to use their warranty?
My factory warranty is about to run out and I am seriously considering buying the extended Warr.
(Just incase of first year bugs.)

Has everyone done the recall? What is the risk when welding on the frame? Could that damage engine internals, bearings and such, I just don't trust my dealership to do it correctly.

What's you opinion?

I did not purchase the Ext warranty...I change the quads too much anyway. The EFI is really the only thing that has me concerned...expensive to replace if something happens.

Dropping our LTR tomorrow or Thursday for the recall, called and talked to them and they are actually using the best welder in town! Very pleased with that news. I do not see any risk of engine damage?

I got the extended warranty for 2 years at $300 I think, I don't know I didn't pay.

From what I was told they did a good weld on my quad but rattle canned some stuff on there to try and match the paint with the wrong color and got some on the skid plate, not the part you see though. No hassle though. The shop I want through is really good they are just so backed up it's unreal.

i originally paid 698 for the extended warranty for an extra 48 months after the original 6 month warranty runs out. then RCwhat pointed out there was a dealership offering it online for 442 there is a post somewhere but i am sure if you asked him he would remember what site it was. i called my dealership and they called suzuki about the difference in price and refunded me the difference for an in store credit which will work. i would recomend getting the extended warranty if you are not going to dig into your engine yourself. ten bucks a month is so cheap. if you blow up any part of your engine i am sure it will cost you at least that much money and most likely more.

I have had the recall job done. i dont know about any risks or any of that other stuff. i got my bike back and it runs great.

A couple weeks ago I saw the the post that you are talking about, I went back last night and tried to find but I couldn't. If anybody knows where it is could you post a link to it, Please?

The only thing I have done is the cherrybomb mod , lid off, sparkie out. Guess that is enough to void the warranty though, huh? ( gotta put all that back on if I take it in)

My brother in-law bought a Predator and put a K&N in it , he had some engine trouble, and they wouldn't warranty it because of the after market air filter. (so he says)

I wanted to buy the warranty but I'd hate to get screwed for having exhaust or other mods. I have never had something new before so I've never dealt with a warranty before.

RCwhat comes through again :D .like i said RCwhat probably knows where it's at. about voiding your warranty if something really does happen pull the cherry bomb off and put the lid back on. an exhaust should have nothing to do with it. i guess it all depends on your dealership though. i had a friend  with a jetski bought brand new and the extended warranty and while he was cleaning the inside knocked off the oil injection lines and didn't see that he did and fried two of the three cylinders and the dealership was cool enough to tell me oops i meant my friend since you bought the extended warranty we will cover it :D

I bought it on Sat. 4 years. They wanted $500 for it, but when I told them I could get it online for $420, they sold it to me for $418.

I bought one-$850 for 3 years from my dealer, but it includes all oil changes (as many as I want!), and all recommended maintanence such as valve adjustments etc.....seemed like a good deal, especially when factoring in that one of my other quads is in the shop being build/repaired after I cracked the engine case.....it was only a year old, and I did not have an extended warranty. They had offered one at the time for $500. The new case/labor alone in $1600 Also, 2006 being the first year of production......I'm sure some issues will surface, hence my decision to buy.......

So is suzuki sticky on getting your maintenance like oil changes and routine stuff done by a dealer? I do all my own and dont want to spend the rediculous amount they charge at the dealer. Also being in Canada, can I buy the warranty from that online dealer? Thanks.
