How long into the break in should i wait to install the cherry bomb, remove the airbox lid, and remove the pee shooter and spark arrestor?

Or can i just start modifying now?

It's not really about time it's more about break-in. Either way you do it (moto-man or traditional) your not going to hurt anything. If you are going to do it like the manual says than you wont need the extra power any way. If your going to do the moto-man then go for it. Hope this helps.

I broke the motor in with Moto Man method...I been using that route for years on my cars and I'm convinced it works...as far as the mods? I did mine one step at a time because I was really curious how each one affected the bike and how it felt afterwards....but it was also REALLY new at the time and we were all still in the dark about the mods. Now you can pretty much take everyone's word and just go do it...have fun :p

The dealer was nice enough to give me one!

One more question, is the sparky part of the pea shooter, or is it behind it. Its my first 4 stroke, lol!

Just do what everyone else does, all i did was ride it around stock for about an hour then when i knew it was good i took of my lid and baffle and it was ridden to finish the break in. I still have yet to put a Cherry bomb on and it's been about 4 months, i guess i have good luck with things since i didn't get any of the first year bugs with my YFZ.

I don't know if it is such a good idea to take the air box lid off, and remove the exhaust baffle without adding the cherry bomb. Probably not to good for the A/F ratio. Stock fuel injection mapping isn't designed to compensate for the much extra air flow.

I'm just voicing my opinion that your method of leaning out the engine by increasing airflow (Baffle out and lid off), and not compensating for it by installing the cherry bomb is not a good idea. However, I'm definately no expert so I could be wrong. :) I would just like to prevent others from making the same mistake that I think you are making. Its not like the cherry bomb is an expensive modification.

I don't think an engine that is running slightly lean will instantly explode or show signs of wear immediately; although, it probably will not last as long.

And you machine is protected by the CRBM????

For Pete's sakes why NOT spend the $40????
