Just to be sure to be the first one to say it....don't kill it!!! I already told my son this one and he didn't think it was funny.

i found giving it about 1/4 throttle while trying to start works really quick. usually first or second crank. if i try to start it without any throttle at all it'll crank for like 10 seconds before it finally starts. i also don't use the fast idle lever AT ALL. i know from my TL1000R days that suzuki's fast idle lever/cable/plunger assembly will get stuck very easy if used all the time. i've already read of others having the assembly stick on their ltr's so i don't even bother with it.

Yep, give it 1/8th throttle.... Its what the owners manual says to do for hot starts. 1/8 throttle is the end of the slack in the thumb throttle, right before it gets hard to push. this or you can use your "choke" or fast idle lever. either way, it starts right up in the middle of a moto. a tip to not stall it put some play in your clutch. it has an on-the-fly adjustable clutch, just before your race or even during it, adjust the clutch so the lever doesnt have to touch the handle bar before the clutch disengages. thats the stuff ive found to work best

I still can't get it started if i stall it, since my fast idle lever doesn't work i will be waiting forever to get it going.

Hey guys dont forget this is a carburetated engine WITH fuel injection, no matter what Suzuki says, it wasnt originally designed with fuel injection in mind. Therefore just hold it open or pump it when your turnin it over and it will fire right up
