I do like my hmf full system but need some ideas on a heat shield until hmf gets one made in a few more weeks to a few more months. I know I can mod my stock one but its no longer in my posession. Anyway im open for suggestions.

Just get the header pipe coated and you wont need a heat shield

I am getting my exhaust done tommorow by hpcoatings. Can't wait to not burn my leg while riding

Thats why i would probably get a slip on, then i wouldn't have to worry about that problem.

i have stock exhaust and one day i was ridin with my jeans on(stupid me) instead of the right gear and i looked down cause i thought it was feelin warmer than normal and my pants were burning not on fire but burnt 2 big holes. if ya want i'll take some pics.

same thing happened to me out at the dunes i was wearing pants and i saw smoke after going up china wall and i thought there was something wrong with the bike i looked down and my pants had melted.

HMF makes a carbon fiber heat shield tha clamps onto the header. It's like $85.

Have you gotten yours back yet, I get mine back tommorow
