Help Me Buy A Gps

Well guys I need your advice, I'm in the market for buying a GPS since I'm doing a lot more traveling lately. I want one for under a grand. I want the one that will be the most accurate on directions. I have borrowed GPSs from friends and I wasn't to impressed with them because they took me way out of the way or just plain sent me down dead end rds, one way rds, etc. So tell me what one and why if you can. Thanks.

I ran the traps on this a few years ago and decided on the Garmin GPS map 76 CS and I am very happy with it...good luck!
