I just picked up a sligthly used LT-R450 and the guy I bought it from thought he needed to make it as light as possible. I think he had an idea that he might race it. I am not looking to race but like to ride mostly in the sand. My problem is the grab bar light brackets. The previous owner cut them off so I can't remount the tail light. We ride sometimes at night in the dunes and the tail light for obivious reasons is helpful. I need to get a replacement either a used stock from some one that has no need of it, or an after market that will mount the light and still support the rear fenders. So far my search for after market grab bars is for racing only. The stock part at the dealer is $207.00! I don't need a tail light that bad. If anyone wants to sell me their take off for a reasonable price or has an idea on the after market I would appreciate all information.
Thanks

Check e-bay as they are usually on there. I have mine old one and don't plan on ever using it. Wow, $207 for a stock grab bar. First year price gouging at it's finest!

I have bought 20 red LED lights for 5 bucks on ebay. I will be hooking them up to my brake/tail for a custom look and getting rid of the existing taillight. I only need to make up small ally brackets to fit them but you can also use sikaflex or any other good silicone, silastic whatever.
I definately would consider this option as it is cheap, easy to install and your own custom "look"
All you will see on mine is smaller red glow for tail and the whole ass end will light up for brake. Well that is the idea at this stage.

I have been having the same problem for months now, looking for a grab bar and not wanting to spend $207 at Suzuki. And finally tonight I found one! There are two left, just $62 shipped. Here's the Ebay link:

I hope you're not looking to put that grab bar on and use a tail light. I made that mistake myself a few weeks ago... that bracket underneath is for the number plate in the background not a light. Just thought I'd let you know from my own personal experience.

Thanks for the help. I keep finding the same issue with all the aftermarket types. Race plate brackets instead of light brackets.

Well, good point - I should have pointed that out, but no, I'm not going to be using my tail light and will use the number plate, so it works good for me.
