Just had my dasa pipe installed and the air/fuel tuned by my dealer and the old butt dyno has nothing but good things to say.

Although the pipe is quoted as 100db at 3750RPM (which is the same as the stock pipe with baffle removed) when you open the thing up it really barks. It is LOUD! Sounds really good though, nice and deep. Just watch your leg though. The header pipe sticks out to the side a bit more than the stock one does and my girlfriend burnt her leg on it. As for looks, do I really need to comment??

As for the power, the biggest difference I noticed was the bottom end. The bike has WAY more torque than before. Power-wheelies in 3rd gear are no problem, that's if you can get traction. The mid range and top end are hard to judge from before but the bike definitely feels faster. Like I said, WAY more torque which is the one thing the bike was a bit lacking.

I raced a buddy of mine that has a YZF450 which is piped jetted etc.... The one race I couldn't hook up and he got the jump on me, the second one I hooked up a little better and got the jump on him. It's the first time I drove the yamaha and I'd have to say the thing is pretty quick if not just as fast. Fuel injection is great though, no little blips or nothing...

All in all, the pipe was worth every penny. I can't compare it to the rest of the pipes out there cause I've never even seen another person on an ltr where I ride but with the huge improvements in the bottom end it is well worth it.

yea they say that just the pipe it self i gains about 3 horses andf it is the most powerful pipe for any bike because the guy who bulids them waits till every one puts there pipes out and he goes and buys them and makes his better now thats dedication

He's one of the smartest guys I have ever talked too...the more time I spend with the man the more amazed I am at his life and his business...

He was on the phone to JJ on Sunday when I got there (his AC blew up again) and Dan was telling JJ how to go about taking a bath and laying out his clothes...everything...was a trip to listen to...he's even sending JJ an extra wheel chair he had laying around because the hospital was only going to loan JJ a chair for a week or so...anyways..after I listened to him talk to JJ?...we talked for a bit about it and he told me his philosophy on life....he said...

"I can do anything anyone else can do...I'm just a little shorter"...

Yeah I'm running the stock rear tires right now. I'm sure going to 20" would help but we'll worry about that next spring. As for pics, I need to get the bike cleaned up and the front end plastics to line back up correctly (a buddy smashed the bike into a tree and bent things up a little). Also once I get the flex bars installed I'll take some pics...

i just returned yesterday from my four day trip to coral pink sand dunes in utah. i had just installed my dasa and the pim. i noticed more torque and h.p. across the rpm range, db's are WOW !!! LOUD and AWESOME when your crankin'. noticed it being harder now to get good hook up for a good launch when hillclimbing though. my only problem was that as far as the computer adjusting altitude IT DIDN"T when it came to idling. it wouldn't idle at all, i had to turn the idle screw out two turns just to keep it running but even then it was very irratic! all the ltr's i encountered were having the same problem and i was the only one with an exhaust (DASA great feeling  ) thanks fuel.

I will not be offering that option anymore. I will still be offering the Anodized Black can upgrade. You can contact Jet-Hot directly to have your header ceramic coated. That is who i used. It is about $75.00 per pipe plus shipping to them and shipping back. Lets just say Jet-Hot is a PAIN IN THE AZZ to deal with. Atleast my transaction was not the easiest to say the least.
