I have removed my airbox lid, and modified the pea-shooter. Basically I cut it, gutted it, and welded it back to gether so I still have a spark aresstor. I have ordered the Cherry-bomb, and a 13 tooth sprocket. Can I run super unleaded in this or am I going to need race gas or a blend of the two?

you can run premium but it wouldnt hurt at all to add a dab or race gas

20-25%race fuel+75-80%premium i think ill be running that this race season

dont put 110 in because you need compression to burn high octane fuel so putting race full in an 10:1 compression piston would be a waste of money and it wont add any hp at all. i dont know if it hurts it but i wouldnt be suprised if it did.

but the ltr is 11.7/1 so i think 95,96,97 octane will be just right that is what i ran in my ex and i have a 12/1 piston in that and it ran good

if your not gona race im sure premium will be fine, at least that is what suzuki says

With those mods I'd say you'd be fine running premium pump fuel. Unless your gonna race then I agree with [email protected] a mild blend would run great also. You have no need for full race fuel unless you raise the compression or love to burn money! :eek:

i think you should raise your octane it might not seem like anything is wrong but i would bet there is some damage happening. it may take a while but i would rather be safe then sorry cause i know race gas would not hurt at all with 12/1 compression.

again that is just me talking and i am not a gas expert

Check out the duration on the HRC cam...

I have had this bike to two motor builders and both think it rocks! There is no predet which is the only thing IMO that could cause damage...

What potential damage are you referring to?

You are correct, race gas would not hurt...and probably pick up 1-3 HP with it...but, I am happy with the performance and price of 91 pump! I have several friends running 14:1 and race gas putting down 53 HP...not worth the extra expense and hassle to me...but I do love the smell of U4 though!

im curious why yosh recomends race fuel with the bomb myself.im thinking it may alter the ignition timing as well as the fuel delivery requiring the race fuel to slow detoation.not sure just a thought.i willbe running a mininum of 100 oct in mine till i figure it out

I'm running 100% VP C-10 (100 octane) w/ a little VP upper cylinder lube in it. I've got a drum of it so I figured I might as well run it. I've got some parts coming that will mandate it's use though!

I will be picking my bike up tomorrow and I will be doing the same basic things most all of you guys have seem to have done. As far as the gas goes i personally wouldnt run anything but a 93-94 premium pump gas . I personally have used av-gas(airplane gas ) for the last 18 years since I started riding. I suggest mixing it at about a 3-2 ratio three gallons of av-to 2 gallons regular pump is what I run. I have talked to a bunch of folks about this over the last 15 years and there really is nothing wrong with any of the higher octane fuels airplane, race gs, etc. Plus it savs you close to a buck fifty a gallon! Over the last 18 years also i have never had a fuel related problem with the excpetion of the occasional bad tank of gas with some water or crud in it! hope this helps !
