I have one of the ltr450 recalls. I was looking at where the front shocks bolt to the top bracket and they have washers that are only half welded. Does anyone no if there supposed to be welded also?

About that recall.......the recall as far as I am aware is due to the rear shock link being weak. Nothing to do with the front shock..... they have not said anything rergarding the front mount weldings. I dont think they ever will, if they have to do a second recall for the same part to fix annother problem, it would look bad for Suzuki's image.

I am already keeping this recall to myself, and not telling my Honda buddies about it, to avoid all the ridicule for changing from Honda to Suzuki.

At least they are fixing it. All of the manufactures have had their share of problems and not done any thing about them.

Thanks for your info. Ok so maybe the warranty wont cover it but does it needed to be welded up anyway to strengthen them up. I wonder if the ltr450s that dont have the recall if there welded up all the way around the washer?
