Not sure where to post this so you guys can move it if you feel like it...
Just a little trick for those of us that have moved our warning lights from the dash to the tank area...If you ahve done this you will notice that the light "tubes" are just a tad too long for the lights to sit flush..not enough to notice if you don't point them out? But still drives me crazy...sooo...I grabbed a warning light wiring loom from a LTZ and used that instead of the stock LTR one...you can see in the picture below that the "tubes" take a 90 and fit real nice between the fuel tank and the new location of the lights...
My lights now sit nice and flush...
Finally I can sleep at night...
The wiring plug is identical so the new loom snaps right in...the wiring is different colors so I wrote them down below for any who want to try this...
LTR450 wiring loom
Fuel light = blk/yel
Neutral light = blk/blu
FI/Wht = blk/red
LTZ400 wiring loom
Fuel light = blu/red
Neutral light = blu/blk
FI/Wht = blu/wht
