i know that the hmf and dasa are the best exhasts right now. but i was thinkin for example the fmf power bomb header is know for making pretty decent torque. so i was thinking if you took the hmf pipe and mated it up with the power bomb header or the mega bomb would it make better torque or better power? do you guys kinda get what im thinkin bout? i think it would be worth a try and see if a guy could built the ultimate pipe. im thinking about trying it myself (the hmf pipe and fmf header) let me know what the rest of u think. meybe im crazy for thinking it.

i wonderd the same thing so your not alone...my only skeptizim comes from that the fmf header changes the sound waves to enhance flow in their pipes, so changing to a different muffler may alter the purpose of the megabomb/powerbomb...but itd still say its worth a try

no what i mean is i want to try the hmf silencer with a fmf header. i see what you mean fuel im not a fan of fmf's full systems my self. like hinkle said the power bomb changes the sound waves to gain flow and it may not work with the hmf and also it may be the best thing since sliced bread. like iv said i dunno. i think its worth a try. id buy everything now and try it but im pinched on cash. it will be about a month i will try it and see if theres a difference. the only prob is i cant get to the dyno anytime soon.

I dont know about the LTR but my Honda didnt make any additional power from that power bomb header. All i got out of that pipe was more noise and actualy less power. I thought the whole "bomb" thing is nothing but a marketing scam to be honest...

The older i get, the more noise restrictive i get. Not only do my ears hurt with some of these pipes, it makes it harder and harder to ride in certain areas. Im looking for a pipe that comes in at or under 100dbs MAX! If i lose a pony somewhere because of it, well i'll have to deal with it. Perhaps make it up somewhere else.

Im kinda interested in that LRD pipe. They claim 99DB's with a totally open unrestricted setup and like 95.5 with a sparky and quiet core. 99 is damn good if it performs pretty well. I love the clean look of it too. Im just not sure the straight diameter head pipe is going to leave something on the table at some point in the rpm.

If i dont like my side mount ESR modded pipe it will be right now between the LRD and the Rossier. The Rossier has a very good looking stepped/flared head pipe and comes in at i believe 100DB's.

Im not into Dasa products so even though thus far Fuel has seem to prove that they are getting the most power and doing it at 100DB's im not buying it. Ive had plenty of their products and no longer support them at all.

Here is a picture of my Frankenstein pipe i made. Its a TRX450r ESR pipe cut, welded, and made to fit my LTR. Dont know how it runs because the bike is not done being built. My main goal was to get that hot pipe away from the air filter. I will run an open filter with a trinity velocity stack.

I really dont care to turn this thread into a pissing match with anyone who is pro Dasa or sells Dasa parts.... Ill leave it at i spent a good portion of money with Dasa and the end result was less than desired in a few different aspects.

I am not sure what happened, but i can tell you this ...... DASA pipes are some of the best on the market. Dan puts alot of R&D into his pipes and they make HP. I will be here to stand behind all of the DASA pipes i sell. I think 370KING will agree that DASA pipes make power. Even the best companies have problems, and i am sorry to hear you had problems 370KING.

Well i'd like to see what the powebomb does, but i'm thinking the header doesn't improve for quads, because i was just at Redbud and alot of headers had something similar to the powerbomb but they looked bigger. So if it does lose power then the quad aren't made for it.

Ahhh yea lets not get the topic of key, they do make power. I know you will hold up your end of a deal FUELATV. I just may be marked down for a Rossier thats all :p Im just looking for a clean 55 horse and ill be happy. Im sure its got it in it even with the second best pipe B)

I just dont think the power bomb header is worth the trouble but thats what testing is all about. I know if i see some graphs of a home made pipe ill be glued to the screen!

Well the thing i saw on the dirtbikes were called a Mega bomb header, so maybe the powerbomb header is a cheaper version.
