Can anyone tell me if the engine oil and the tranny oil are combined like the YFZ or are they seperate like the 450R? My LT-R is ordered and should be here in a little over a week, so I want to do my homework ahead of time. Thanks again.

Its combined, just watch how much you put in. Its sometimes hard to see new oil on the dipstick. some guys have had to put an extra 200ml in the oil tank to get a clear reading

Yep, I have been putting an additional 200ml in my Z since I bought it and I just read a tip in one of the quad magazines that recommends it for all quads. I do it for my LTR also.

What oil is recommended for the first few oil changes on this bike? Is the Rotella T alright for the LT-R?
I just ordered a Scotts Stainless Steel oil filter.

today my dad bought 3 quarts of the Suzuki 10w-40 or w/e oil. From our local suzuki dealer. should this be ok until i use it all up? then what should we try? but since we bought it, were gonna go ahead and use it. and just put in 200ml of oil on which side? tranny or engine? or does it matter?

400ml in the clutch cover and the rest in the oil tank ....

You'll only need 2 quarts MAX...Manual calls for 1600ml, I've been using 1800-2 quarts with no issues. And yeah, you'll be fine with that oil. :fro:

its 1300ml for the oil tank when changing the filter too.

and 400ml into the crankcase(clutch cover)

plus the 200ml additional that everyone talks about and i really don't think it matters where you add it because it is all one system...

for a grand total of 1900ml...

Kyle, Clutch side is on right (sitting on quad). Oil tank is on left (with dip stick).
