I ordered my PCIII yesterday so I decided to do a little research before it came in. My one question I have now is about the Rev Extension Plug (REP). On most of the maps you can download they all have the REP added to them so I’m wondering what it does. Just by the name of it I think I can figure it out, but I haven’t been able to get any exact info on what it does. It’s included in the parts list of the PCIII so I’m sure I will use it when it comes in.

In the instructions it says to plug it in to the white 6 pin diagnostic connector behind the headlight…is that the same connector the CB plugs into?

Thanks

The Rev Ext Plug is the the same thing as a CRMB "Cherry Bomb" Its just Dyno Jets version of it. When I got mine there plug would not fit so they are sending me a new one...untill I get it they said run my Old CRMB which is the same just different name!

Now I'm a little confused (it doesn't take much)

I thought the CB opened up another fuel map so you can run with the sparky out and lid off. Why would the CB or Rev Extension Plug need to be on there if the PCIII is an EFI controller?

That I dont know...other than bumping the rev limit up......thats not an option on the PC that I know of.......but when you put it on be sure and do the accelator pump option you can go as high as 80% it really makes a difference

It allows you to tune that race map...

I think junkie had this problem with his old trinity controller, it didn't use the cherry bomb with it and it was less powerful because he was tuning the stock settings.

So I guess it's the same thing to just leave the CB in with the PC. That's what I did because the map I got off here for the Dasa pipe said CB on it, and not Rev Ext. Has anyone checked the difference? Also I haven't tried the fuel Acc option yet. Does it just add itself to the map I'm running?
