Ya you were smoking me with the stock gearing later that day i changed to 13 front but didnt see you again and now i am at 13 38 and its pulling hard well have to see again next time :lsvader:

i had 13/38,and i was getting smoke by 14/37.out of the hole i was gone,but at mid hill they would fly by me.i change to 14/39,and it kicks ass.i also tried 13/37,13/38,13/39,14/37,14/38,and ended up w 14/39.i also liked 13/37.it worked good,but wanted more speed.lopez i met you out in olds,on holloween,and i dont want to start any shit,but i was smoking you by about 3 or 4 bikes.i had the yellow ltr w a yosh rs5.now some body correct me if iam wrong,but isnt 14/37,about the same as 14/39,but w 14/39 getting out of the hole is way better. :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil:

well heres the final gear ratios for the given ratios :D
14/36=2.57 13/36=2.77
14/37=2.64 13/37=2.85
14/38=2.71 13/38=2.92
14/39=2.79 13/39=3.00

here are the tranny gear ratios. 1st=2.07
2nd=1.64
3rd=1.33
4th=1.09

i just figured i would put 'em up there for any riders who have had other bikes that they tweaked on and got perfect for comparison :) being the ltr is geared so tall.

Any of you guys run gearing to where you can launch in 2nd and pull through 4th? Im 6'1 220lbs...so you 82lb guys need not apply :fro:

the only place my bike will do successful 2nd gear starts is dumont and all the big dunes i drag up are to steep to carry any real speed in 4th. that's even with the no-bite 6-blade extremes :)

Bringing this old beast back alive...

bought my ltr a few weeks ago and have not ridden it at the dunes yet so I'm not sure how it will react. Bike came geared with 13/42..paddles are a 21x12x8 skat track glider 9 paddle. I weigh 153 pounds soaking wet, with mods in my sig how do you think the gearing combo will work out? Ridding on the street with my 18" dirt tires, it's hard to keep the front end on the ground and raps out real fast. Geared too low for those tires but how do you think it will do with the 21" paddles? Was gonna head to the shop and snag some new gearing. Possibly keep the 13 front and go down to a 39 rear..?

Those paddles are to much don't run a nine paddle for to long ...I have heard of LTR'S motors splitting in 2 running 10 paddle's ... run a 8 or 7 paddle... and yah 13/42 for your little a$$ that bike should do flip's...
