I tried the dobeck this weekend at pismo finnally. I paid $139 for it and honestly i couldnt be happier with it. I dont have the money for the PC or the yoshi so i had to go with the dobeck. Im sure those two are alot more adjustable but for the money i like how mine works. I bought it just so i could run the intake i made without overheating, which i did 2 trips ago. Its really simple to tune, just turn the dials. I really didnt think it would make a performance difference but it actually does. Messing around with the accelerator pump and the other dials do make changes you can feel. Doing some test runs up a short hill it does feel quicker than it did before i had it on. Theres also little LEDs by each dial that show when the fuel is being delivered. The accelerator pump light flashes when its delivering fuel, i thought it was kinda cool. Took me about 2 minutes to install also.

Just thought id give a heads up to anyone considering it. If i had the money id go for the yoshi or PC but for people on a budget the dobeck is perfect.

Hey thanks Ace!

I am looking at a controller myself, currently trying to decide between the PC or Dynatek style.. It sounds like it was money well spent on your part man, so congrats there :D

Thanks for sharing Ace. Nice little report. You know, i have this Yoshi setup that im not using. I know that you said you werent ready to buy the expensive Yoshi setup but i have one brand new that id move. I like the fact that the Dobeck sounds very easy to tune. I was wondering if you would like to trade out? If your interested, PM me and we can go foward. Im currently using the Power Commander but id like to have a look at the Dobeck.

I was told that you can adjust for altitude with the Dobeck (just installed one on mine).Example told; if I go to Glamis the quad might run better or worse then if I go to Sand Mountain. They said I can dial it in for what ever place I ride.I thought the EFI system takes care of this stuff.I have HMF full exhaust/Trinity intake kit on its way/C/B no lide. And if you can how do you know were to set the dial for altitude?
