My ltr dies when i jump or when I pound it through big whoops really fast. I have already read about the tip over switch problem and I have tried to fix it 20-30 times already. It already ruined a trip to Little Sahara, since that is when the problem started. I had never had the problem before, then right after we got there I jumped it and it lost all power in the air. It didn't come back until a second after I landed. VERY SCARY! I have tried taping the pendulum inside the tip over switch in place. Then i tried it several different times, all different ways. That did not fix it. I read that taping it would not work because it would interfere with the sensor. I just tried siliconing it on the back side only. That failed as well. I took the switch apart again to check, and there is no way that pendulum could move. I'm pretty sure there is no way the problem is the tip over switch. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any good ideas?

you are seeing, what is starting to be a common problem with these units. Think of it like, becoming a man, in the LTR world. You dont know how to work on your LTR until you have completely torn down your LTR's fuel system.

All joking aside, what you are suffering from is a poorly flowing fuel system. Be it dirt water or whatever is clogging your system. I have no Idea why it seems to manifest on jumps, but I have had the exact same experience.

Replacing the filter in the swirl tank is one of the first things you can do. along with cleaning out the fuel pump, and in my situation replacing a clogged injector.

Clean out your system, and see if it helps matters.

Also purchase yourself an outerwears pre-filter and fuel funnel, it will filter out water and most debris.

Kyle, could a super steep take off irritate this as well. When I broke my leg I was throwing down this uphill triple all of pratice 4th pinned. Then last lap of pratice it felt like my rev limiter kicked in sooner and I hung the frame on the peak of the landing bad. If u come to Ballance for the National u'll no what jump I'm talkin' about.

Thanks Cernics. You were right. I took the fuel cock assembly apart and the filter inside was packed completely full of dirt. My best guess is that it came from the race gas pump at little Sahara, becaue when i went back later the pump was out of service. I must have got dirty gas from the bottom of their tank. I really hope that was the problem.

When the system is freely flowing, no it will not bog on any sort of take off or landing. You may have a slight amount of dirt in your system as well.

I am glad you got it figured out. Dont trust anyone be it, BP, VP or the Race gas pump at the little Sahara. The LTR is a picky eater, and will give you fits if you give it dirty fuel.

You know what really sucks? I guess you can't buy the filter inside the fuel petcock assembly. The filter comes out, and should be replaceable, but it can't be bought. Do you know how much that sucks? Over $145 for the whole assembly!!! That is how much that sucks. And I bet more of you are eventually going to have the same problem too.
