Okay so I bought this quad to ride in the desert. I know it's built for MX but I see so much potential in this quad for desert. Well I was fully impressed. I let some friends ride it too and it was hands down the best quad any of them had ever rode. It was fast, soaked up whoops, and just fun. The one thing I noticed is the throttle response. Out in the desert you get BIG whoops, they are basically small doubles. I was able to just blurp the throttle and clear 2 at a time making me much faster.

The bad news!!! 18's suck. I had already planned on buying 22's for the rear and 23's for the front but I think this weekend just sealed that fate. I let my best friend take the LTR out. He loved it, and wanted a second go. I was like sure dude enjoy. Now I must emphasize this is my 12 year long best friend or else he wouldn't have gotten away with the following without an @$$ kicking. He hit a rock, on accident of course, with the rear swing arm. Now this wouldn't have sucked so bad had it not been that Pro Armor doesn't have there skid plate in production yet for the swing arm, or that I still had 18's on it. So it ripped the stock skid plate off, well mostly off. Bent the brake disk so it looks like an S now. Ripped the Break Calliper off except for one bolt, and sheared all the bolts off the bracket it mounts too. So stay out of the desert in stock form is my advice.

On the bright side my friend is paying for it to get fixed and this was the last time I was going to ride it on leave anyways. I knew it could happen to anyone and knew this was a risk when I took it out there. So I am taking it to Suzuki tomorrow to let them deal with it since all the broken off bolts are to much for me to deal with when I only have a week of leave left. No biggie I'll have 22's, full armor, and a new brake set up when I come home this fall.
