Im looking into buying a full system for my LTR soon and Im split between the DASA and HMF. I know the HMF runs great with just the Cherry Bomb, but will the DASA? Ive heard the DASA will need the PIM becuase with the Cherry Bomb it is too lean. Id rather not spend an extra $200 if I dont have to, but if I do, so be it. Thanks for any help.

Well from what im doing. I have the Cherry Bomb now but should be getting mt DASA this week. I will then be going to a PIM but only becasue i dont plan on stopping there. If all you want is an exhaust then yeah i guess stay with the Cherry Bomb. But if you plan on modding it more then that i suggest the PIM then FIMAK once you have more stuff...that's just me though and the route that im going. Might as well " GET ER DONE" right the 1st time

I would strongly suggest you run at least some kind of fuel management system...even a dobeck type would be better than just a CRBM with the DASA. If you looking to do more mods like OK there? Then spend a couple of extra bucks and get the PIM & DASA...

If all you want is a damn good base power and nice sound? Then go with the HMF and the CRBM...

All I have is the cherry bomb at the moment and will have my LTR and DASA back when I get home from vacation, so I can tell you if it runs good without furthar fuel modification or if you'll want a PIM, I plan on getting a PIM anyways but not for a week or two.

Mine ran fine with the cb, dasa, and filter kit. If you plan on modifing the air box, then you might run lean as i did.

Well, other then the exhaust, that would be about all I'd do engine wise. If I did get the DASA, I would have to get it with the quiet core, which I would assume would cut down a little bit on the amount of air it pushes out. Where can I get a good deal on the PIM?

I have C.B. no lid and pipe open, have a D.M.C. full pipe coming. I was wondering what alltitude your at because I was riding at approx. 7k ft. and felt rich. I did have 20" paddles on and stock gears. But my air filter started to plug on the third day so I thought it was rich. Pulled the plug when I got home and it looked new. I'm wondering if the fuel system doesn't adjust some. Also wondering if at higher alltitude i could cut my air box without going lean?

I must say...After installing and riding this weekend. I just have the FUll DASA Exhaust, CB and LID OFF and I was taking out 450R's and YFZ's like no tomorrow....Ran like a champ all weekend long

I'll second OKC, I havn't raced my buddies YZFs but I ran perfectly fine with just the CRBM and no lid. I'm definitly going to get some kind of fuel management though for that extra kick in the balls.

Add an intake, mod the air box and add PIM ........ then it should pick up some more HP.

Now does that setup give you more MPH as well? I assume with the extra 1000 rpm it would. I just installed my CB, have stock pipe with sparky removed and airbox lid off, just havnt had a chance to try it out yet. Big difference I hope???

I was going to do a PIMM/FIMAK set-up but after seeing RKBOY's set-up. I love it. You just have to tune it on a dyno everytime you install a new part and in my case not to much right now. I just want to add an intake and be good for a few months. I got enuff power now to knock out some YFZ's and 450R's....That's all i wanted. I cant get em all of course but i can hang with the best of em now.

How do you know if your bike is running Lean or rich. Does it just now run right. Im new to 4 stroke and not sure how to tell. Because of the EFI, does the bike just not run right if its lean or Will you burn a hole in the piston. Also If you get PIMM/FIMAK, does it come with software? Does it have perameters so you don't "Blow up" your bike? Again Im very new to this EFi so any explinations would be great. Thanks for your help. By the way..... thinking of going Dasa with Cherry bomb and PIMM/FIMAK. Thanks ED

He is right you run either the cherry bomb or the PIM. Now as far as rich or lean ..... lean will break parts and rich will just no run good. So either way is not good.

im getting mixed thoughts on all of this. This is all i plan on doing for a while, but down the road we will get a PIM. But, what were gonna do for now is, Cherry bomb, DASA, and airbox lid off. And maybe a diferent airfilter. Probably a UNI. If i run these mods, will it cause any catastrophic effects if i will be racing and riding it hard?? If so, i wanna go ahead and get the PIM, but if i can run it and its not going to affect it, then im just gonna use the cherry bomb. thanks.
