well the yellow fenders would slow it down quite a bit and make it less stealthy i would personaly rather have irs than the yellow plastics ...........driving a yellow ltr is like driving around big bird
I actually think the IRS conversion is neat. If the LTR had reverse and this kit it would be a great trail machine. I think this kit on the new Kawi will be neat.
Honestly ..... looks cool and might work ok, but willnot work better then the stock LTR IMO. I have ridden 2 bikes with a similar IRS setup and was not impressed.
I have ridden on one (and not the outlaw), it didn't turn on a dime even when in first gear (pushed instead)... turned more like a sprint car with the inside front wheel in the air & wouldn't let the rear end slide out, and it added abit of weight affecting the performance. More parts to go wrong. CVs are a messy pain to repack too. It has been tried awhile ago ('89) and didn't catch on.
There is a guy racing one in WORCS in the Pro-Am class #61 Dax Snow and he is tearing it up on the "Outlaw" with IRS. They still have not updated his machine type (still listed yamaha) but he has nothing but good things to say about that rear suspension. Depends on the rider!
