I am getting a darker brown dirt like discoloration on my white plastic at the area my legs come down from the seat.

Normal pressure washing/scrubbing doesn't help so I was hoping to hear what you guys have done for this.

Not that I have tried very much yet, but if anybody has had success getting it whiter again let me know.

Id there a product that does the trick?

I use Super Clean (purple stuff), it takes all the dirt and oil right off.

Superclean is great stuff, I use it to degrease engines. That should explain how strong it is.

Teepol or any sort of industrial cleaner does the trick. Just read the labels to make sure it doesn't discolour your engine compontnts

I use superclean or greased Lightning to degrease with but won't they dull out the plastic? I have never used super clean on the plastic do you guys cut it with water? Or just spray it right off with water? I'm sure super clean would get them clean though it's strong stuff! FYI I was told not to get it on your chain if your running an o-ring chain espically greased lightning will eat the o-rings if not rinsed off!

simple green or Moose cleaner do the trick then spray it down with WD-40, so the dirt is easy to wash off next time...

wd-40 for everything. Chain, plastics, spray all over before riding for easy cleaning later. Also better than Goo-Be-Gone stuff, for after taking some stickers off.

Those work great, but theres another products called BleachWhite or something to that effect. My friends brother has a white dirt track car and it works magic removing the red clay from the front plastic on the car. Amazing stuff.

Get some Silicon Spray and something to scrub if it's really dark, also Silicon spray protects you plastic alittle too. Also put some simple green in a spray bottle and use that.

Okay I will give everybody my secret solution!!!! It will get any discoloration of the plastics, at least in my experience!!! Im not sure how to spell it, but Mcquiers Scratch remover. Comes in a small tube and looks like wax. Use it like wax and sheeeshamm, purdy white plastic!!! Best thing to use and Ive used it all!!!!!!!!!!

Well for white stuff i've good luck with Multi-purpose Auto Cleaner from ARMOR ALL. I used that on our old white trailer and on my TRail Blazer, don't forget that you can use a really soft brissle scrubber to get out deep rub marks.

I used the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and they work great especially on the area you are talking about. It takes off pretty much anything on the plastics.

Hey Luckiduc13 are you talking about scratchx by Meguiars I used that on a black S2000 that I detailed the other day for my friend before we polished it and glazed it (for a car show) and wondered how it would work on plastic scratches on quads! I know it took 90%of the swirl marks out of a black car with an oscillator so I bet it would rock on scratched plastic! I'm going to get some and try it!

that would most likely dull the pastics, but test the underside if you want to find out

SOS pads work wonders. My rappy was brown where my legs rubbed. SOS pad and they were white again. It does dull them a bit, but a couple of coats of was and they were like new again.

i just used a little bit of clorox gel with bleach. cleans it every time. no dull and it works into the scratches to take the dirt out. works for me.
