in our local series, production is production, no mods. so four stroke C would be much faster than production C[/b]
They actually have a seperate stock class at nationals...

A few of the top guys that run production C also run 4-stroke C and generally place around the same positions. If I had to guess, I think production C is a hair faster than 4-stroke C.

4-stroke c and 265 c allow hybrids so they have a better chance of being faster(just my opinion though, I feel faster on a hybrid). depending on how many show up in the class u chose to run u may or may not have to qualify. if less then 20 enter, just run two motos w/ your first determining your gate pick for the second. Otherwise if more then 20 enter your first moto is also a qualifier. depending on how many enter you will have to finish higher then a specified position or you'll have to go to the LCQ ( Last Chance Qualifier) then finish in a certain place in that, again that is determined by the number of entries. Most all classes you have to qualify for nowadays though.

From what I have been told, quads in the production classes can have mods but the inner case halves must be factory originals. Quads can be piped, widened, etc.... At least in the series I am currently racing.

That was going to be my question ... I am not at all familiar with National rules. How are they treating the LTR w/ the CRBM -- no longer stock ?? What mods bump you out of production ?

The only thing I know that isn't legal is the big bore kits that put you above the 450cc legal limit..... and the bike had to come with that powerplant and that frame. (i.e. no lonestar frames on the quads or hybrids)

the production class is kinda the same rule as the pro class i beleive but alot of people confuse production with the stock class

From what i know, production classes can have pretty heavily modded quads, The Production C has a some seroius competition and it usually has two divisions when i'm racing.

Production Classes must have no Geometry changes made to the Frame, but material may be Added to the frame for strength.

The engine cases must be production engine cases, I believe they cannot be modified either. The displacment must remain under 450cc.

Anything, and I mean anything else can be replaced or modified.

STOCK Production class, is very strict. Things like air box lids, and pipe baffles cannot be removed. Headlights can go, handlebars can be replaced, grips, and I think tires, BUT NOT WHEELS. CRMB is a No No.

Classes like 265, Four stroke and Open will allow frames, and modified or different cases.

This is the info. I was wanting to know --- thanks Kyle

so i would assume --- in order....

stock -- NOTHING to enhance performance -- only "comfort"
production --- typical mods --- no "engine" work
265
4 stroke
