Hi all you fuel injection gurus out there . I am from south africa , and am riding my new LT-R450 in standard trim with the pea shooter out . We will be racing super motards at the go-kart track tomorrow , and i am worried that my bike runs too lean to race full throttle for 15 mins .
We dont have any aftermarket parts available yet , and i would like to build a cherry bomb cheat resistor , but need to know what wattage the 98.9 ohm resistor must be not to blow up on me .
Ihave ordered a TFI fuel injection management system and a HMF pipe , and will most probably run a K&N filter like i did on my yfz450 .

please help !!! we cant lose face now with the only new suzuki in town !

thanks

ps : how do i post a pic of my quads ?[/img]

For what its worth we recently run theeagles 450 at a tarmac only event at just about sea level with no peashooter no lid and no cherrybomb and the bike ran hard all day with no probs at all.
The resistor can be pretty much any wattage as it doesnt carry any load across it.
Have fun and use the right tyres or you'll roll it !
I want to see this 98.8 ohm resistor when you get it too ?

Bullet proof LT-R450 motor

Hey Tlronny , thanks for the reply and vote of confidence in the LT-R450 motor . Yep we ran the LT-R450 at the motards on sat and i had my 14 yr old post the lap times for grid position . He did so well (3rd out of 10 tricked out quads) that i let him actually race it . At the end of 3 heats , he managed 4th place (this with stock std , lid on , no cherry bomb , only pea shooter outand std nobby tyres) against all the mods . needless to say my local Suzuki dealer was very happy , and i will be getting my HMF pipe , TFI and hoosier tyres at gooood prices very soon .
The LT-R motor still sound smooth , backfiring on deceleration is gone and the oil wasnt even discouloured when i changed it .
So wacth out racing world for the mods on the LT-R450 .
cheers

you guys are really racing seriously over there .

what anti sway bars (anti roll bars) are you using ?

i have to set up my LTR450 like that for our next motard tar / dirt event .

my HMF pipe and TFI should be here for that event as well .

thanks for the info .

cheers

Theeagle has a custom made sway bar fitted but you can get them from Rath Racing and Durablue (about $275-$350)
