there is a hole in the side of the carrier(cant remember wich?) that you insert a small tool or screwdricer in through the hole in the hub on the axle and when you rotate the wheels back or forth it will rotate the carrier.not sure what he reccomended slack is off hand
Yep he said it all just stick a tool into one of the 4 or 5 holes on the sprocket side of the carrier then rotate the tires to you, so the sprocket turns counterclockwise, also the chain should be around a couple fingers slack, unless it's not on the ground.
awesome thanks guys
also don't forget to stick the tool through the hole in the sprocket before you push it into the carrier.
becareful doin this i did something bad yesterday
was checkin the tension on the chain musta pulled the quad back when i pulled down on the grab bar and my finger went half way around the chain and sprocket broke the bone in 3 places and had to get some cut off to do the surgery so now im sitting out for a few weeks with my finger about an inch shorter
