I know people use the 400 rear hubs to make it skinnier but not sure on the flipping of the hubs.

 

ive read on this site somewhere where u can flip the hubs u gotta press the bolts out and press them back in the other way. Also heard of haviing them milled down on the inside and adding a washer to the out side to take up the slack, but that sounds more prone to them getting loose to me.

 

Oh shit, sometimes my brain is worthless, I thought just flip the hubs and have a hell of hard time tightening the lug nuts, I guess pressing the studs out would be the solution..

And yes you can turn down(machine some off) the back side of the hub, the aftermarket axles are built with a big collar that you can put on either side of the hub to adjust the width, so you really shouldn't have an issue of them loosing up if turned them down and used a washer to take up the slack..

 

Is the other side of the hub even flat? If it actually is, I don't see why you couldn't. It would really be narrow as hell though, probably about 8" total narrower

 

i did flip the hubs around it put me right under 47in the only problem i run into is that you have to cut out a slot on the front side of the hub splines just like it is on the rear so that the hub will mount flush up against the axle

 

How much narrower is the z400 hub swap on a stock axle?

Does it require any spacers or washers?
