This is something similar to what clone has setup.

We visited LS power sports today and were talking with one of the dyno guys.

He mentioned they did an "intake mod" to pick up 2whp for half the price of other intake kits. So instantly we were all ears.

Their solution is one that is well used on the Raptors:

400EX K&N filter and outer wear And some zip ties.

Basicly the 400EX filter has a hard metal base unlike the normal ruber base. So it fits right into the intake boot and you use the stock clamp. All you have to do then is ziptie the filter and sensor to the left side (opposite the exhaust) of your frame.

I didn't buy one yet. But thought we'd share..

Im going to BUMP this badboy up...Its a PROVEN Fact and way cheaper then spending more money on a PRO DESIGN or something....$60 and your good to go...WHT180 has this mod and Damn.....Throttle is really snappy now. I know OKTRX450 and ROYYB911 can speak on this....I would run this intake now but i think im running lean since only have the CHerry Bomb at this time. I will be doing it here shortly though.

:scoot: scoot scoot......

This is easily the best bang for the buck after doing the basic power upgrades (no sparky, and cherry bomb).

I'm going to dyno it the next time we head up to the dunes.

I dunno...the intake that we messed with didn't have that plate on the back...because the Trinity has pretty much the same set-up & also has that rear blocked off...I think anything is better than stock BUT I wonder if there's something similar out there with some more surface intake area?...

my 2 cents...
