lol have you seen the shocks on the stock kfx?? they are absolute JUNK! and he baught +2 a-arms, so with these 450r shocks, he can put them as stiff as they go, and they will be awesome. with the stock kfx shocks, he has NO adjustments, so with the +2 a-arms, he would be bottoming out every time he jumped. what do you guys think about it though?

The valving will be WAY OFF. Might have been better off with 05 -06 LTZ,KFX,or DVX shocks. They have rezzys and are FULLY adjustable.

He's not the first one who has done this. Check out z400central. Theres a lot of people who have done this and they say that its a great improvement over the stock 03/04 Z/KFX shocks.and you say that the 05-06 kfx shocks are FULLY adjustable...SO ARE THESE!

lol hey FUEL, maybe its better to let him TRY IT OUT and then see what he has to say. Like I have said many times before, we are not hard riders, and Im SURE these shocks with the epic a-arms will be fine. If you cant agree with anything I say/my bro does, just dont bother coming in to my topics. I know as well as the rest of the people on this site does, you know A LOT about quad! but just let my brother try this out for himself, and see what HE thinks for once. If all we did was listen to you, we would be dead BROKE by now, because everything you say to buy is about twice the amount of what we were gonna spend in the first place. Me and my brother work full time in the summer just to pay off our quads, and to put some aftermarket shit on them, maybe we dont feel like buying top of the line, longtravel shocks and a-arms.

I am only giving my opinion. You dont have to listen. I just dont want others to believe some of the inexsperieced BS you post. Hey i dont know it all by any chance, but i do know that adding shocks that are not valved for the rider, his weight, ridding style, a-arm set up, or bike is a WASTE of money. Let alone adding shocks from another bike. Why add TRX450R shocks? Why not get 05-06 LTZ400 shocks.? Both are rebound and compression adjustable? Yes they will work ..... as will the Full Flight a-arms, but dont try telling ANYONE that they work good .... better or even right. You and who ever you want can come on here and post BS for others to read, but i will call you on it everytime. IF YOU ARE NOT RIDDING HARD WHY WASTE THE MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE? You PM me and ask questions all the time. I reply with anything i can to help you out. Nothing aginst you. You say check .... other websites ..... other people are adding TRX450R shocks. That does not mean they will work. TRY TO UNDERSTAND..... to make shocks work right they need to be set up for YOUR weight, bike, ridding style ect.....GET IT. You could have bought a cheap set of works NON rezzy shocks that were set up right and they would have worked better then those TRX450R shocks. Do you even know when to adjust compression or rebound?

hey man your forgetting its no my bike...but to tell you the truth, no I dont know WHEN to adjust compression and rebound. Im guessing you know its screwed up if your going over, say whoops, and you get your ass bucked off. Maybe you could explain to me. I honestly just got my ltr from the dealer, and rode it. If you could help me set it up, that would be AWESOME! Sorry for all the shit I've cause man, I just dont want it to sound like me/my bro made a wrong choice.

There are no wrong choices...but there are smart choices.

If you came over to our campsite and I said do not stick your hand in the fire because it is hot...
If you stick your hand in and get burned, it was not a wrong choice because now you have gained the true experience of the burn.
If you take my word for it being hot you have made a smart choice but not gained the true experience...

Guys like Fuel and others have been around for a long time and are trying to help you make smart choices.

Whomever saying the TRX-KFX shock conversion is great...compared to what? Stock? The money could have been saved up to buy the smart items (correct shocks) instead; or a low cost solution would be to call Laz at GT Thunder and tell him what you have done...he can revalve the TRX shocks to work very well with the leverage ratios you have them installed in.

Like i said earlier ...... YOU COULD BUY A SET OF WORKS NON-REZZY SHOCKS FOR $359.99. Those shocks will be set up for your weight ...ect...ect. They would work better the whats on there.

REZZYS - keep shock oil cooler ..... you said your not ridding hard .... shocks wont get hot .... no rezzys needed ... JUST FOR LOOKS IN YOUR CASE

Rebound and Compression adustments - You stated you dont know what the do or how to adjust them ...... AGAIN JUST FOR LOOKS IN YOUR CASE.

This is what i am talking about. The average guy that does not have the money to spend can still get a great setup that works better then stock. May not look as cool ... or have the COOL STUFF, but the bike will work better forsure.

Wouldn't buying the shocks, plus paying for a revalve be just as expensive as getting aftermarket front shocks? I really dont know, i've never priced it out.
[/b]
Just to be sure we are clear...I was referring to having the used TRX shocks revalved for your bro's bike with his a-arms...definitely not more expensive then buying new Fox's/Elkas/Axis...whatever. Actually, probably less then the price of one of the top tier shocks...
