went racing saturday night.come into the first corner grabbing the holeshot as the guys behind me get tangled sending one quad flipping through the air and landing on my arm.broke back by the elbow and took out my pinky and ring fingers.i think this is it for me and might be selling the quad to get a rhino.gonna let the kids take over racing for me.being the solo provider for my family i cannot take the risks anymore.i never realized how hard of a decision this would be to make.do they have like an AA for quad riders?lol. :shithappens:

i wish i could keep it but i know where i will be once i get better.right back out there.just in my blood.been racing a long time am pretty good at it and had a blast doing.with three kids now it is hard for me to keep enough money in the bank to fall back on should something like this happen.maybe i can save up enough money over the next year or so and get back into it a little but for now i gotta try to keep it out of my reach wich will most likely result in me selling my quad.its sad this is my favorite quad outta all the quads i have ever had.i've never pulled so many holeshots in my life.lol.its almost a garauntee.sorry about the poor grammer im typing left handed and not very good at it.

We have a saying in the truck racing world... shiny side up. [/b]
what if your frame guards are shiny? or your frame for that fact...sorry that was dumb...look to the bright, it was only your arm and nothing worse ya know, but it is a wake up call...just race your kids, that would be more gradifiying til they start beating you.. :)

I've seen Jason ride (he was on a Dale then) at Mt. Morris....i walked up behind him and only seen the "Farr" on his jersey...i was stoked, Tim Farr was in front of me...well, he finished turning around and i see the Farrer...anywho, long story made short, i ended up watching him, your quick Jason, no doubt about it and pretty damn smooth. Don't make any RASH decisions yet. Set back, think about it, talk it over with your family. I quit mx 2 years ago....i figured my nephew would stay in it, but since i got him hooked on it and i quit...it did'nt sit well with him, so now instead of worrying about him on the track, i worry about him out partying cause since i quit, he does'nt wanna do it anymore, he wants go party all the time.....just some food for thought.

I know just how you feel as I am typing left handed right now as I broke my wrist 46 days ago (who's counting  ) and I'm still in a cast with 3 pins in my wrist. I broke it coming off the bigger double on our practice track. I landed and my wrist just snapped. So there went this season. I'm 39 and fourtunate that I don't do physical work. I figure it this way. I will ride and race until I feel I can't physically do it anymore or I do something that requires surgery again to fix me. Then I would just suck it up and get a utility to keep me from racing. Good luck on your arm and making the right choice. Remember though you only get one life so make it the best you can!

Sorry about the break, i know that really had to hurt.

But before you make any decisions get healthy first and then make your choice. When was the last time you were injured like you are now? Who knows it could never happen again, or you could trip on some stairs and break your other arm....would you consider not walking any more? Didnt thik so like everyone has been saying maybe ease up on the racing and stick to just recreational riding.

OH and buy a rhino anyways, they are so flippin sweet!
