im about 160 without gear. i backed the springs all th way out, but im bottoming out bad so i gave the spings about 3 turns. will the other adjustments help bottoming out?

ive only adjusted the preload. how much compression should i give. are minimum adj a half turn at a time? i have never owned a quad with adjustable shocks. any help would be appreciated.

Heres what I did I weigh the same as you... 160 w/out gear. Take all the preload out, and then back all the compression out... Its the flat screwdriver on top of the shock. Then go in 2 turns and see where you are. I have mine at 2 turns in front and 2 1/2 in the rear. If the rear is still bottoming, stiffen it, half turn at a time. That should do you. Keeping your preload backed out lowers your ride height. Lower height results in lower center of gravity and better cornering. Hope this helps.

I'm 185 w/out gear and stock settings are perfect, all i've done is stiffened them up for a couple GNC's.

Always set your ride height to 7 to 7 1/2 with preload then adjust compression to preference.
