i had some problems mounting mine as well. mainly the front mounts. i could get one side (the female side) lined up so i wedged the quad against the corner of my garage with the female side nerf that lined up good against the cornerof the garage, then just pushed the other side in. Then once they were all the way together the holes were still well below the mounts on the frame so I ended up using a floor jack with a piece of plywood on it to push up the front of the nerfs to line up properly. The bolts they gave me for the front mounts were way to long and would hit the frame so i ended up using like 4washers to take up the slack. I probably could have done it with another person helping alot easier, but was by myself and wanted it done. they came out good but did need MUCH MORE effort than i expected.

Man that wasn't what I wanted to hear...I'm really leaning towards the Blingstars because I had such a bad experience with AC last time I bought their stuff...I may just run IMS heel gaurds and foot pegs for now... :(

The only problems I had with mine were first getting them here. And putting them on. They do not just bolt up. It takes some elbow grease. As far as the welds, mine are all excellent.

AC is no different. You'll be lucky if you get a set that's completely welded. All nerfs are a little hard to get on. Doesn't matter what brand. I have used AC for about 8 years. I'm tired of breaking them. Also their customer service sucks in my book. I know Blingstar is no better, but after dealing w/ AC going downhill fast for the past year or so, I don't expect a whole lot anymore. As long as they hold together, I'm happy.

no worries with blinbstars for me and it is no difference for ANY other manafacturer, it all comes down to how many bloody rum cans the welder drank the night before work!!!!!

See i did it myself, too many cans last night and cant even get the name right.

Now thats comedy :p

My AC's werent too bad at all.. But I like mine a little diffrent then everyone else.. mine are actually like a inch and a half lower beacuase I flipped my pegs IMO I will never ride anything diffrent agian.. I race MX and its so much easier to stand up with your pegs this way it is also a lower center of gravity and you can get your riding boots under the shifter with moving it up and cutting your case saver all up... The only downside is if you ride rough conditions your going to dent and bend your fresh nerfs all up...

If your nerfs are too short and you cant get the peg bolts alligned a really good trick you can do by yourself is take a motorcycle strap and rachet the heal part of the nerfs back to the axle.. keep racheting untill it lines up only took me about a hour to get my blacklines installed

On my A/C blacklines it took me a half an hour to break out a chunk of weld inside the foot peg tube so it would slide on. But I just expect that crap when I buy their stuff but it usually holds up well, but nothing they make except for a sticker (maybe) goes on without using a hammer.

The only aftermarket company that is consistent with fit and finish and bolting right up is IMS! ;) Yes you are going to pay more but you don't need to take Advil because you just banged your head against the wall, trying to figure out why and how this $hit happens. Oh, and let's not forget how long we all waited (or are still waiting  ) for these parts to come in.
I'm still waiting for a Blingstar bumper and grab bar that I ordered when I origionally ordered Blingstar nerfs in April. I could'nt wait for the Blingstar Nerfs so I went with the A/C's so I could race. This week I will probably cancel that order and switch to the A/C's bumper and grab bar, so I better go and get my hammer ready!

I love my blingstar nerfs and bumpers had no trouble so far. I think the AC one are too mass produced and are pretty crap qualtiy. And you can't go past the pegs in the Blingers biggeest i've ever seen for sure

I would if I was just running at the dunes, but for racing I would be bashing up that nice chrome. Brushed aluminum with scratches almost look like they belong together. ;)

Hey how about Fuel designing a race bumper and grab bar with a number plate holder on both and I would be glad to patronize a good sponsor/supporter.
