Anybody else bent their stocker?? I bent my stock axle the first weekend I had this quad and it seemed to sorta "straighten" itself back out. Well, I was riding at my practice track over the weekend and now it's bent HELLA!! I'm gonna buy an aftermarket but I was wondering if anybody else had bent theirs?? I ran a stock axle in my both my Predators for over two years and never had any issues with it. That's all I have to compare it to though....

Yep! Bent mine last week. I went with a lone star axcaliber. I have heard good things about them. Look on cernic's sight, they have a good deal on them. As for the predator, you have to think about how much wider the ltr is. For every inch wider you go on the axle the force on the axle is almost doubled. It is still pretty good for stock, but you are never going to beat aftermarket.

My predator sat at 50 inches. I had the Rath Racing MX rear hubs which made the quad 3 inches wider. They just had a really nice axle from the factory.... (chromoly... stock!)

Yeah I was wondering how the new stock axle's were holding up?? I know I've raced for years with the LSR Axcalibar and it has never bent. I did break the original J.P. Racing axle at the splines back in the day just before LSR bought them out,and LSR went good for it. They all have pro's and con's I guess. Have been keeping up on the racing a bit, but... What are the Yosh/Suz. Factory bikes running? Or does it depend on the rider and sponsors, just haven't noticed I guess, lol.
Another thought...how many of you are bending the Stock axle without revalving/ respring the rear shock?
Thought I read before as a guest here that the rear shock is undersprung for most?? correct??
Dura-Bend(DuraBlue)
Lone-Snap(LSR)
RPM- what is the saying for them?

I bent mine on a 80 foot triple. I made the landing nose high on 1 wheel. God only knows how I rode it out. I landed so hard it pulled both of my hands off the bars. LMAO An 80 foot 1 wheeled no hander. Got to get some points for that.

Well... I've already ordered my lonestar! It should be here tomorrow or monday. I probably would've got rpm if I was set up as a dealer for them but I've had a lonestar before and had to deal with them on one warranty before and they seem to be a pretty good company.

My axle was bent on about a 50-55ft single to table top. Good jumping and pretty good landing! I locked up the brakes and dumped the clutch in the corner after the jump and that's when I felt it!

My teammate was riding on my quad last weekend and he wrecked it on a triple step up and the axle ended up bending as well. He ended up buying an LTR a few days later and I now have the rear end from the quad he just bought. However, I am definitely thinking about buying a Lonestar during the off season as we only have 2 more races left.

i'm pretty sure team suzuki runs with rpm axles, me personally in the past have run durablue intimidators, and they have great, all my friends run durablue and we haven't bent one yet. the only draw back yet is durablue only replaces your first one for free, and if you break your second one they will charge either 50 or 100 bucks i forgot which one.

Like I said earlier I did not notice what Team Suz./Yosh. has been running for axles. Wish we could see a stock axle hold up, since this is a "race ready" ATV, LOL.
When will the factories actually come out with a competition only version?
Thought I heard somewhere that Honda might be offering 2 diff. models in 07'?? Will the M-X version actually come without a headlight? Yeah right,
With this fuelly engine we are actually for the first time ahead of the bikes in technology correct? IMO

I talked with one of the Pro Racers on the phone yesterday (not mentioning names so don't ask!) and told him that I bent my axle.
He said: "Geeze Tyler.. Why'd you do that!?"
I said: "I guess they are just weak!!"
He said: "Yep!.. The stockers aren't really that great! You should go with either an RPM or the Lonestar. You will be real happy with either one of those."

It would be a different story to me if he woulda said... "Hmmm... I've never really heard of anyone bending their stocker!"

I think the stock axle would be alright for Rec. Riders.

My axle is fine! unless your constantly landing on the back wheels the axle should hold up for awhile. It doesn't matter what axle u have it can break even on the smallest of jumps. I was riding at a local track and all day i was jumping the finish line jump and nothing happened, then a guy on a yfz with RPM axle went over the same jump and snapped that baby in half.

We have run 20 races and have not had a problem with the axle. This season we have seen one Durablue snap over a small 40 foot table top and one Durablue bend the 2nd race out. Most of the axles we have seen break or bend have been Durablues but there are a lot of them on the quads around here. Most of the guys around here have the easiest time getting replacements for their LSR's. We will probably go with an LSR or RPM to replace the stocker. Hoping to finish the season with the stocker though but still have a dozen races left.

31crewchief, have you revalved or re-sprung the stock rear shock or running aftermarket shocks?

Team Yoshimura/Suzuki run stock axles!!!

They now run Walsh swingarms, stock linkages, with stock axles.

I'm a very nosey guy so when I go to all of the Nationals I am sure to give their bikes a FULL RUN DOWN!

I bent mine also and got a lonestar. They lonestar is stronger but my experiece is they all bend if you case somehing bad enough. Most of mine have came when I case on 1 tire, thats what happend to the stocker but i did the same with a lonestar on my yfz. I would purchase a new one and also get the stocker straighted at a machine shop to use as a spare b/c it takes forever and a day to get a replacement from lonestar. They always say they are out when you do a warranty claim. You have to really hassle them on the deal.

Team Suzuki doesn't run stock axles! Not sure what brand they use, but the stock axles only make the quad 48.5" wide. With my new lsr, it is 49.75". I know it doesn't sound like much, but you can definatly tell it is wider by looking at it. Unless they are running a weird off set on the rear wheels.
