Any of you guys read the new atv sport. They ran a 330r vs a r450. The r450 spanked it after the cherry mod, and it had sand stars.

And somehow (naturally) I'll get dragged into it and end up riding a purple quad...

I havent read the artical but..
Equal riders, switching bikes
My esr310 with everything else possible is 3-4 lengths faster in the sand drags at Pismo
vs
My ltr full yosh, filter, cut air box, pim
Not a huge difference but still faster and thats all that counts in a drag race.
Same 7 paddle haulers??
But hey i actually like that mag so i ll have to read what thay have to say

I think the r450 lost by 10 stock then won by 4 with cherry. It is a good thing they didn't have fuels or the ltr would have looked bad.
was it just a 330r r or was it a powervalve cause im no expert but im sure the 330r would have run circles around a ltr with just the cherrybomb.
I think JBFOCO is right .The Wifes is a 350 power valve. It runs hard and has alot of other mods cr ignition, cr intake ect. I would be safe to say wih equal riders at equal weights the 350PV would be faster in a drag race then an LTR450 with full exhaust , no lid and cherry bomb. The wifes 350PV when i took it out last time was not broke in and not geared right for the hill, but still did VERY well. I did not hold it wide open at the top of the hill and still was doing VERY WELL.

The honda was pv and has a aluminum chassis. Maxxix tires,14/39 gearing and ct midrange silencer.
They said it beat 450r,yfz450,ds650,tied with a banshee and beat by a 576 ktm quad. This isn't what I'm saying just what the mag says. I had a 250r with a 330 kit it wasn't pv though and it ran real strong. I know my quadzilla would have walked my quad.

yeah i raced fuel at glamis with his 350 and sorry to say its faster than my LTr. I had a weight advantage.
Alot of money in that bike though. problably nothing is stock.

The problem I've always had w/ big bores is traction. My old Walsh 530CRF bike would outpull anything on the track,,,,,,if it hooked up. It'd straight ruin a chain, sprokets and a set of tires in no time. Not to mention wearing your azz flat out. Thats also why it got sold!
