I wanted to give credit to Jamie at ASV for hooking me up and calling me back the same day! How many aftermarket companies actually do that?
I went to install my new F-3 clutch lever today and as usual something needs a little extra work than you planned. Since I use this bike for racing WORCS series I took off all the stuff I don't need like the light controls, fuel advance lever, factory start switch, and wired up a nice KX kill switch for a start button. The ASV levers won't work with the stock light/start button combo housing because of the adjustment nut on the lever hitting that housing. Well the clutch cable is about 1/2 too long with no cable adjust available at the other end. Jamie said I can do two things, buy a new motion pro shorter cable or he can send me some of these brass spacers they make that he personally uses on his own bike for free. He said one would help with a 1/4 inch and use two in my case. (1/2 inch) He does not recommend using more then two. The fittings are hidden by the rubber boot on the cable anyway so cosmetically no issues. If this isn't tight enough he said don't use more get the cable. So once the spacers come in I'll try it out. I just wanted to point out that there still is customer service out there and someone needs to be recognized when they try to satisfy you.

Thats nice to hear...I dunno if I'm ready to "Ditch the Blob" on the handlebars just yet...

But it's good to know that someone can walk me through it if I do decide to...and ASV would be the only way to go in my opinion...I have them on my TRX and they are a quality product... :D

Okay, I just wanted to update the info on this topic since I started it and did'nt finish it. Well the brass fittings came in just like Jamie at ASV said and he even threw in some stickers (Good Service) at no charge for any of this. I used the two brass fittings and it works like a charm to take up the slack. Now later on as that cable stretches you may just want to buy a shorter cable through Motion pro, or I believe I've heard a Z400 cable may work but I can't validate it since I've not seen it for myself. My camera was dropped and broke so I can't put any pics up yet of the fittings and levers yet, but just know this was a free fix from ASV if you buy the clutch lever.

There is a cable adjuster about a foot or so down the cable. Its in your hood area. It can take more than 1 inch of slack off the cable. I had the same problem when installing my clutch lever but with that adjustment it works great.

ASV Levers are a must-have...to me, they're always on top of the list right alongside the basics such as nerfs, killswitch, etc

(This is my YFZ - not an LTR)

Do the spacers actually come with the levers or do you need to ask for them as an extra?

No they don't include them but if you call the tech support number (On the Website) they will send them at no charge. When the cable does stretch it will be a good extra to have. Yes I found out about the adjustment on the cable after the fact when I wen to fix the TOS problem.
