I had my wife call my dealer while I was asleep (since I work third shift) to ask them how long they would have my LTR to do the recall work. They told her they were supposed to get the clutch covers in next week sometime and that I could bring it in next week and they could have it out in one day. WTF?!?!?!? She said she talked to the service rep at the dealer and asked him twice if that was for the LTR450 and he said yes. So, one of two things is going on here: either the dealer doesn't know about the frame recall and just made some bullshit up (likely), or there is going to be another recall for the clutch cover?? I really don't see how the clutch cover malfunctioning could cause seriuos bodily harm or death, but hey, who am I, right? Anyway, I am going to stay up long enough for the dealer to open and call them myself in the morning to see how good of a bullshitter they really are.

Hey PokrMny, how long did it take to get it back? I have a wife and kid, but my LTR is like my second child; I cant be away from it for more than a few days.

The recall currently going on is the frame, but I have heard that the clutch covers on the Z400 have been recalled right now as well. I hope the 450 has it's single problem and the Z400 has it's own. I'm taking mine in tommorrow along with my buddies' Z400 and I will find out then and let you guys know. He got his recall notice on the Z400 about a week after I got mine on the 450. One recall on anything is enough.

I got mine back and it took my dealer three weeks to do mine. They are probably the slowest in the world though. it takes them 1 week to get a part in. So they had it done in two weeks but had to wait another week to get the paint in. Im sure there cant be another dealer in the world as slow as this one though. I hope all of yall have better luck wtih yalls than i did with mine. Three weeks is a long time with out your baby.

dropped mine off for the frame recall today well yesterday since its 2 am. also let them know about the tranny noise. they said just leave it over night for the weld so we will see if its done by closing. and you know the tech is going to not want to ride the quad for 20 minutes so its warmed up enough to make the tranny noise. we will see and i will post how it goes when they finsh i mean when they say there is no noise :D

I hope that's not the case with my dealer... although I did call them today and they said the frame should be welded tomarrow but they are waiting on paint still from one they did the week before mine. I hope they ordered enough to do more than one if it takes that long to get paint in.
